Important Notice

Please note that the MoD strongly recommends that you arrange insurance of your personal effects whilst they are being transported and/or stored at public expense. The removal company’s liability is strictly limited within their terms and conditions and should not be relied upon for full or partial recompense of any damage or loss. In the event of loss/damage YOUR insurance company will approach the moving company for copies of documentation and clarification of claim details. Although you are not obliged to take insurance for your effects, it would be appreciated if you could confirm that you understand the implications of failing to do so by providing details in the following statement which should be passed to the surveyor of the removal company at the time of the survey.

I am aware of the Agility GRMS/MoD recommendation to arrange insurance of my personal effects and have decided not to insure those effects. I understand that by taking this course of action the carrier’s liability will be limited in line with their standard terms and conditions in respect of any loss / damage whilst my goods are in their care, custody or control. Any claims made against the carrier will be notified to the moving company within 7 days of delivery.

I have made my own provision for transit insurance and/or storage insurance cover or I am covered by my nominated insurer for Kit and contents insurance or similar. I accept that should any damage or loss occur I am expected to claim against my own insurance policy and that any such claim may impact on my own on-going insurance premiums. I am also aware that any excess to my policy will need to be paid by myself.

IMPORTANT NOTES

All over entitlement of more than 15% must be moved under private arrangement with the GRMS (or any other) Removal Company and not as part of the GRMS service. The MoD will not authorise any volume over entitlement plus 15% to be moved with the GRMS service. The MoD will only pay for your entitlement volume, NOT the entitlement to +15% volume. *Rates for over entitlement but up to + 15% can be obtained from guiderates@agility.com for further information or clarification on over entitlement volumes or procedures, please contact guiderates@agility.com. Any changes of more than 1m3 to the items list after the survey must be reported to the removal company. If you refuse to sign the declaration and/or fail to inform the Removal Company of your decision to move your excess baggage, the Removal Company will move your entitlement only.
